This innovative hospital and emergency care unit is looking for their ANM for their newly renovated and accessible emergency room. In the highly awarded medical center, this Assistant Registered Nurse Manager reports to the RN Nurse Manager to provide the positive patient outcomes. The role is to help on the floor staff achieve optimal level of health for patients.

The Assistant RN Manager- Emergency Department can evaluate high-stress situations and efficiently help the unit team to effectively manage each case. This ideal candidate will reach the center’s mission to provide competent, innovative, and accessible emergency and acute care services to the community.

Responsibilities of the RN Assistant Manager- Emergency Department (ED):

• Act as a direct guide Emergency Department staff with compassion
• Assist in delegation of the ED unit on the evening shift
• Provide assistance with direct patient care as needed
• Conduct and assist the administrative responsibilities for the unit for the Nurse Manager
• Participate in input to the Nurse Manager in reference to HR with employees
• Collaborate across departments to ensure high quality and cost-effective care to all patients
• Work in collaboration with the Manager/Director/CNO to ensure goal attainment
• Enthusiastically participate in training and orientation of new nurses
• Calmly handle emergency cases that require special attention

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Required
• Current New York RN Nursing License required
• ACLS & PALS Certification required
• 5+ years ED experience required
• 1+ years supervisory/management experience
• BLS, PALS, ACLS TNCC, ENPC, or CEN preferred
• Master’s Degree in Nursing is a plus
