Responsibilities for the Assistant Nurse Manager Outpatient Dialysis:
- Oversee 30+ FTEs
- Assist Nurse Manager with departmental leadership
- Ensure proper nurse staffing
- Mentor and train dialysis nursing team
- Bring best-in-class renal care and knowledge
- Provide recommendations to improve efficiencies
- Implement plans and procedures to improve patient care in hemodialysis unit
- Participate in decision making, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities that enhance patient care outcomes
- Collaborate with leadership to make process improvements and recommendations
- Motivate nursing team and lead by example
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients and families
- Provide nursing care to acute and chronic hemodialysis and end-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients
- Ensure compliance and safety throughout dialysis unit
- BSN Nursing Degree required
- Current Nursing license in state of New York
- High EQ and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire nursing staff
- 3+ years outpatient dialysis nursing experience preferred
