Responsibilities for the CST Surgical Technologist
- Work with nursing team to provide proper patient care
- Assist with technical responsibilities in operative procedures
- Assure appropriate instruments and supplies are present and in sterile condition
- Respond promptly to each stage of the surgical procedure and anticipate the needs of the surgeon
- Efficiently follow procedures and processes of a scrub role
- Perform non-therapeutic functions under the direction of patient caretakers
- Follow all infection control policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as needed to support the operative team
- Graduate of CAAHEP accredited technology program
- Certification in Surgical Technology required within one year of hire
- Completion of Hospital Job Training Program within one year of hire
- 1+ years experience as a Surgical Technician preferred
- Availability for on-call arrival
