Responsibilities for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Therapist (LPC or LCSW)
- Work with the Child and Adolescent population
- Assess the patient's physical, cognitive, and physiological state
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team as needed
- Create goals and monitor progress
- Appropriately refer escalated cases as needed
- Review the patient’s home state and whether or not proper care can be provided
- Maintain accurate and up to date patient records
- Communicate respectfully and kindly with patients and families
Requirements for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Therapist (LPC or LCSW)
- LCSW Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor LPC Required
- 2+ years of acute inpatient psychiatric experience
- Experience with child/adolescent population required
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to negotiate and collaborate with leadership across departments
