ASSISTANT NURSE MANAGER SOUGHT AFTER FOR INNOVATIVE, MULTI-SPECIALTY MEDICAL CENTER
One of the largest Brooklyn based hospital systems is hiring for an Assistant RN Manager of the Medical Surgical and Telemetry units who can support the Nurse Manager with the supervision of the nursing staff. This experienced candidate is the source of direction and support for the staff and their medical surgical patients.
An RN Assistant Manager-Medical Surgical and Telemetry Unit works their best to motivate their units on the night shift and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care services. The proven leader for this ANM position will maintain the nursing staff in all areas as well as deliver safe, efficient, age specific nursing care.
Responsibilities of the RN Assistant Manager-Medical Surgical and Telemetry Unity:
Assist with the planning, organization, direction and evaluation of patient care operations for the units
Help manage the Medical Surgical and Telemetry Units on the night shift
Encourage professional development among RN staff
Collaborate across departments to ensure high quality and cost-effective care to all patients
Analyze processes and recommend improvements for positive outcomes
Assist nurse leadership where needed
Collaborate with other patient care departments that relate directly or indirectly to patient care operations and services
Enthusiastically participate in training and orientation of new nurses
Act as mentor to staff RNs through compassion and communication
Requirements for the RN Assistant Manager-Medical Surgical and Telemetry Unity:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current New York RN nursing license required
Master’s degree in nursing is a plus
2+ years med surg/tele experience
1+ years of ANM or related supervisory/management experience
