As one of the largest independent hospitals in the nation, the accredited Cancer Center is hiring a Director of Nursing to manage throughput and operations of service lines within the cancer and breast centers. The Clinical Nurse Director will act as a compassionate and supportive resource to nursing staff and APRNs, working to achieve high nurse retention and engagement, build a motivated team, and solidify evidence-based oncology processes.

Responsibilities of the Clinical Nurse Director of Cancer, Oncology Services:
- Oversee and manage service lines within the cancer center and breast center
- Manage throughput and delegation of responsibilities to nursing staff, including Nurse Managers and APPs working with physicians. Hire, train, and onboard energetic oncology staff
- Partner with Nurse Managers to build engagement within the team and promote efficient, effective, safe, and compassionate oncology care
- Report to CNO and Assistant VP of Operations to develop goals for the unit, such as staffing stabilization, excellent quality scores, and excellent associate feedback scores
- Manage an operational and fiscal budget to ensure a cost-effective service line while maintaining high-quality care
Requirements for the Clinical Nurse Director of Cancer, Oncology Services:
- MSN Master's Degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse, RN in State of New York
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner, preferred
- 3+ years of nursing experience in inpatient oncology, women's oncology, or related areas
- OCN Oncology Certified Nurse, preferred
- 3+ years experience in nurse leadership/supervisory
