Position:ICU Critical Care RN Nurse Manager MICU, SICU Employment Type: Full Time, Day Shift Location: Memphis, TN Salary: $100,000-$115,000 +Full Benefits Hiring Organization: 500+ bed Non-Profit Academic Medical Center US News World Report “Best Regional Hospital” Seeking Experienced RN Manager, Intensive Care Unit This expanding hospital is looking for an RN Manager who can bring strong leadership to an 18 Bed Medical ICU and Surgical ICU. Overseeing approximately 50 FTEs, the Critical Care Nurse Manager will promote compassionate, evidence-based nursing and work to increase the overall patient experience. The ICU Critical Care RN Nurse Manager will have a patient-first mindset with proven experience improving nurse retention, job satisfaction, and teamwork. Experience working with Magnet- Designated Hospital and building unit councils is ideal for the next Nurse Manager MICU/SICU. Responsibilities of the ICU Critical Care RN Nurse Manager MICU/SICU:
Assist staff in daily interdisciplinary rounds with unit medical, surgical, and neuro intensivists
Report to the Administrative Nurse Director and work closely with Critical Care Nurse Supervisors
Carry out strategic plans for the Critical care Department to improve patient outcomes, patient satisfaction, and overall quality of care
Evaluate MICU and SICU nursing teams and implement performance improvement initiatives
Oversee 40+ full-time employees in MICU and SICU on a 24/7 basis
Monitor patients, and ensure quality care is provided by creating standards for evidence-based care
Organize continued training programs and resources to encourage and facilitate staff development
Assess current finances and cost-effectively manage budgets without declining the quality of care to ICU patients
Discuss treatment options with department physicians and nurses to achieve a non-critical state of health in patients
Compassionately communicate with patients and families on treatments and health updates
Requirements for the ICU Critical Care RN Nurse Manager MICU/SICU:
Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing BSN required; MSN preferred
Current RN License in the State of Tennessee
ACLS and PALS required
Board Certification in the nursing-related field desired
BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association AHA required
5+ years of critical care experience in ICU, MICU, SICU, CCU
3+ years of nurse management experience preferred
Ability to manage staff, budgets, and productivity
Proven leadership experience in driving metrics, results, and quality improvement
