Inpatient Psychiatric Therapist Needed for Top Hospital System

This leading hospital system is looking for a Psychiatric Therapist (Social Worker or Counselor) for their inpatient program. As a Psychiatric Therapist, you’ll have the opportunity to spend time with patients, create thoughtful treatment plans and find a collaborative environment to support you.
 
Responsibilities for the Inpatient Psychiatric Therapist (Social Worker or Counselor):

• Assess patients physical, cognitive and physiological state
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team as needed
• Create goals and monitor progress
• Appropriately refer escalated cases as needed
• Review patient’s home state and whether or not proper care can be provided
• Maintain accurate and up to date patient records
• Communicate respectfully and kindly with patients and families

Requirements for the Inpatient Psychiatric Therapist (Social Worker or Counselor):

• LCSW Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor LPC, required 
• 2+ years acute inpatient psychiatric experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to negotiate and collaborate with leadership across departments
