Responsibilities of the Mammography Technologist:
- Communicate respectfully with patients
- Clearly explain procedures to patients
- Utilize radiographic equipment
- Observe mammography procedure for accuracy
- Carefully prep patient rooms
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Collaborate well with medical team
- Ensure safety and compliance throughout department
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technologist training program approved by the American Medical Association
- Valid Radiology license from the State of Connecticut and ARRT or eligible
- Must have documented 100 mammography exams under direct supervision to obtain mammography certification
