The 300+ bed Beacon Award winner is hiring a Sterile Processing Manager to maintain high quality in the sterile processing unit, including increasing operating efficiency and implementing unit KPIs. The SPD Manager will act as a distribution resource of sterilized equipment based on needed schedules, improve biological indicator scores while limiting sterility failures, and maintain budgetary restrictions without affecting the equipment quality.

Responsibilities of the Manager Sterile Processing Department SPD:
- Oversee operations of preparing, storing, and distributing Operating Room instruments
- 24/7 management of 15+ sterile processing staff, including Peri-op Aides, Surgical, and Sterile Processing Techs. Responsible for hiring, performance improvement, training, payroll, and departmental budget.
- Report to the Director of Surgical Services with applications to implement KPIs to improve unit productivity, including limiting sterility failures and improved biological indicator scores
- Manage inventory quantities while reviewing budgeting and logistics of vendor orders for additional equipment
- Educate and support the hospital staff on proper sterilization methods through examining, testing, and monitoring equipment while maintaining accurate sterilization records and documentation
- Associate's degree AA/AS
- Certified Surgical Technician CST required
- 3+ years of experience in surgical technician, sterile processing, or sterile processing distribution
- Certified Sterile Processing Management CSPM strongly preferred
- Knowledge of AAMI standards, Association of Professional Infection Control (APIC), and DNV
