- Evaluate patients and create care plans
- Ensure proper nurse staffing throughout medical surgical and telemetry unit
- Carefully monitor patient status and progress
- Hire and train nurse staff
- Bring best practices to the department
- Promote positive team relationships
- Communicate respectfully with patients and families
- Follow compliance and safety regulations
- Mentor medical surgical nursing team
Requirements for the Nurse Manager Medical Surgical/Telemetry:
- BSN Bachelor’s Degree Required
- Master’s Degree in Nursing strongly preferred
- Licensed RN in New York
- 2+ years Nurse Management experience preferred
