Coastal Small Town Hospital Seeking Nurse Director Emergency Department
This opportunity for a Nurse Director Emergency Department will place you in a hospital known as the hub of this predominantly Rural Coastal County. This position will promote evidence-based patient care and work to improve safety and quality standards throughout the hospital. This nurse leadership role is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse manager looking to move into a director level position.

Responsibilities of the RN Nursing Director Emergency Department ED:
- Oversee 10 beds and all emergency department nursing staff
- Ensure safety and compliance throughout emergency room and department
- Assess emergency department procedures and processes, make recommendations for improvements
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families
- Operate and maintain departmental devices related to patient care needs; fetal heart monitors, resuscitation units, infant warmers, defibrillators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, etc.
- Encourage teamwork and a positive atmosphere
- Train and mentor RN nursing staff
Requirements for the RN Nursing Director Emergency Department ED:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Maine
- BSN Required or in process of completing
- BCLS Required and ACLS within 6 months of hire
- 5-7 years clinical RN experience
- Nurse leadership experience
- 2+ years emergency management experience
