Responsibilities for the Operating Room OR Staff Nurse:
- Monitor patients in operating room and throughout recovery
- Check patient vitals
- Administer medication as necessary
- Assist surgeons, physicians and other nurses
- Monitor breathing, implement ventilator and breathing assistance if necessary
- Maintain sterile equipment and safe area
- Express communication kindly and with respect to patients and families
- Current RN licensure in the state of Connecticut
- Previous perioperative nursing experience preferred
- BLS Certification
- CNOR preferred
