Responsibilities for the RN Operations Coordinator - Orthopedic Surgery:
Work four 10 & 12-hour shifts in the Orthopedic Surgery OR setting
Create and maintain preference cards with surgeons and staff
Maintain availability of all needed sterile materials
Arrange staff education to ensure pertinent competency updates
Schedule in-service and vendor representation with the Nurse Manager and Clinical Educator for cases
Assist in scheduling and onboarding of new nurses
Support Ortho Surgery Nurse Manager with room assignments, scheduling staff lunch/breaks and hiring needs
Collaborate with surgeons, physicians and other nurses
Express communication kindly and with respect to staff and patients
Requirements for the RN Operations Coordinator - Orthopedic Surgery:
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
Valid RN CT licensure
BLS Certification REQUIRED
1+ previous OR nursing experience REQUIRED
Charge RN experience highly preferred
BSN is a plus
CNOR preferred
