Leading New York City Hospital Seeks Physician Assistant Operating Room

This Physician Assistant position includes two 16-hour shifts and one 8-hour or three 12 hour shifts with rotating weekends and on-call responsibilities. 

Responsibilities for the Physician Assistant PA, Surgery, Operating Room

• Manage the continuum of care from admission to discharge
• Support perioperative teams 
• Examine and diagnose patients
• Prescribe medications as necessary 
• Assist surgeons during operations 
• Ensure sterile working environment
• Communicate respectfully with patients 
• Maintain accurate patient records

Requirements for the Physician Assistant PA, Surgery, Operating Room

• Graduate Degree from accredited PA school 
• Physician Assistant License in the State of New York 
• Certification as a PA by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• BLS and ACLS certificates required
