Responsibilities for the Nurse Manager Inpatient Psychiatry, Behavioral Health:

• Oversee behavioral health patient care and nursing team 

• Bring strategic initiatives to improve processes 

• Collaborate efficiently with a robust multidisciplinary team, including nurses, physicians, social workers, and other clinical care providers

• Promote compassionate and evidence-based care for every patient 

• Ensure proper staffing 

• Evaluate, assess, educate, and mentor psychiatric nursing staff 

• Maintain safety and compliance throughout behavioral health department 

Requirements for the Nurse Manager Inpatient Psychiatry, Behavioral Health:

• BSN, Bachelor of Science in Nursing required

• MSN, or master’s degree in related field preferred

• 5+ years clinical inpatient psychiatric nursing experience

• Current New York RN license required

• Psychiatric nursing certificate preferred

• High EQ and interpersonal skills

• Ability to motivate and inspire nursing staff
