Responsibilities of the RN Nurse Manager Medical Surgical Med-Surg
- Oversee daily nursing operations for the Cardiac and Neuro Medical Surgical Unit
- Report to the Director of Nursing and carries our mission, vision, and values of the hospital
- Implement training, coaching, and mentoring to improve quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, and nurse retention
- Train and onboard new medical surgical nursing staff
- Practice compassionate, evidence-based patient care
- Develop patient care plans and monitor patient progress
- Work to improve patient care and safety standards across the cardiac heart care and neurological unit
- Knowledgeable in evidence-based nursing practices for cardiovascular care, heart failure, coronary, myocardial, and neurological treatments
- BSN Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
- MSN Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred
- 3+ years of cardiac nursing experience required
- Nurse Management experience preferred
- National Certification preferred
- ACLS preferred
- CPR and BLS
- Current RN Nursing license in the state of Massachusetts
