This NJ delivery ward and its healthcare team has received over 1,500 5-star ratings from local moms, and is seeking a Nurse Manager who can uphold its strong work ethic and reputable leadership team. This Maternal Child Health Nurse Manager will oversee the L&D Labor & Delivery and Mother-Baby unit, including triage and 2 ORs.
An ideal Nurse Manager will be a strong leader who can unite tenured nurses, promote a positive work atmosphere and motivate their team to deliver the highest quality of care possible.
Responsibilities of the
RN Nurse Manager Labor and Delivery/Postpartum
- Manage maternity labor and delivery, postpartum nursing staff
- Ensure safety and best maternity nursing practices are implemented
- Train, mentor and evaluate nurses
- Work to uphold and achieve hospital goals and processes
- Analyze and create process improvements as necessary
- Introduce best practices and educational pieces to nursing staff
- Encourage compassionate mother-baby care given and highest level of patient experience provided
- Promote positive relationships among staff, unite team
Requirements for the
RN Nurse Manager Labor and Delivery/Postpartum
- Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, MSN highly preferred
- Current New Jersey Nursing License
- 5+ years Maternal Child nursing experience required
- 3+ years experience as Nurse Manager required
- Nationally certified in specialty area required
- Must have experience with unions and ability to be a strong leader
