Responsibilities of the RN Nurse Manager Medical Oncology
- Supervise oncology nursing staff and oversee daily operations
- Train and mentor new Oncology RNs
- Lead by example with expert oncology, cancer treatment nursing techniques
- Maintain proper oncology and medical-surgical nurse staffing
- Ensure compliance throughout the oncology floor
- Create unique patient cancer care plans, administer treatments such as radiation and chemotherapy
- Communicate with patients and families kindly and respectfully
- Share care plans in a clear, easily understandable way
- BSN Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
- MSN Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred
- 3+ years of inpatient oncology nursing experience required
- Nurse leadership experience
- National certification preferred
- ACLS preferred
- CPR and BLS
- Current RN Nursing license in the state of Massachusetts
