Responsibilities of the RN Nurse Manager Medical Surgical:
- Reports to the RN Director and carries out the strategic goals for medical surgical department
- Ensures 24/7 supervision for medical surgical unit, RNs and patients
- Responsible for hiring, training, educating, mentoring Med-Surg RNs
- Ensures efficient, quality, individualized and comprehensive nursing care is provided to all patients.
- Establishes clinical direction for nursing care delivery and maintains quality outcomes
- Promote compassionate, evidence-based care
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing BSN required,
- Master’s Degree in Nursing MSN preferred
- Registered Nurse RN license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- 5+ year acute care RN nursing experience in medical surgical, progressive care or related field
- 2+ years proven nurse management experience
- MEDSURG-BC Medical Surgical RN Board Certification, a plus!!
- BLS Certification
