Responsibilities of the RN Nurse Manager Obstetrics/Maternal Child Health:
- Plans and implements evidence-based care plans to support positive maternal patient outcomes
- Manage patient care and practice expert labor and delivery and neonatal patient care and birthing practices
- Serves as a liaison between Obstetrics/Maternal Child health staff and leadership
- Evaluates effectiveness of current obstetrics programs related to the health of maternal patients
- Assist in preparation for JCAHO, IDPH, IPT and other regulatory agency surveys
- Communicate with compassion to maternal patients and families
- BSN, Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, Master’s Degree a plus
- Current RN License for the state of Illinois
- BLS certification required
- 2+ years of experience in obstetrics/maternal child health or related field
- RNC-MNN, PALS, or related certifications are a plus
- 1+ years of experience at supervisory/leadership level preferred
