The RN Nurse Manager of Obstetrics, Maternal, and Child Health provides growing personal and professional development, both through education and networking opportunities. The ideal candidate is ready to hit the ground running and make sure all maternal patients feel as comfortable as possible.
Responsibilities of the RN Nurse Manager Obstetrics/Maternal Child Health:
Plans and implements evidence-based care plans to support positive maternal patient outcomes
Manage patient care and practice expert labor and delivery and neonatal patient care and birthing practices
Serves as a liaison between Obstetrics/Maternal Child health staff and leadership
Evaluates effectiveness of current obstetrics programs related to the health of maternal patients
Assist in preparation for JCAHO, IDPH, IPT and other regulatory agency surveys
Communicate with compassion to maternal patients and families
Requirements of the RN Nurse Manager Obstetrics/Maternal Child Health:
BSN, Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, Master’s Degree a plus
Current RN License for the state of Illinois
BLS certification required
2+ years of experience in obstetrics/maternal child health or related field
RNC-MNN, PALS, or related certifications are a plus
1+ years of experience at supervisory/leadership level preferred
