Responsibilities of the RN Nurse Radiation Oncology

• Administer radiation treatment to oncology patients
• Provide evidence-based nursing care
• Assess vitals and monitor progress
• Collaborate with physicians
• Work to uphold hospital’s strategic initiatives
• Ensure safety and compliance throughout department
• Communicate respectfully with patients and families
• Clearly instruct patients about treatment process

Requirements for the RN Nurse Radiation Oncology

• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing required
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required
• Current Connecticut Nursing License
• Oncology nursing experience preferred
