This distinguished Hospital and Award Winner for Clinical Excellence is hiring an RN Supervisor to oversee the clinical operations within the Neuroscience Program. An ideal candidate acts as the lead clinician while partnering with the Management team to improve workflow. The RN Clinical Supervisor will process and address complex issues that arise from Neuro outpatient care. Partnering with the Front-Desk Supervisor and the Nursing Director of Neurology/Neuroscience, the Nurse Supervisor will evaluate current care plans within Neurology, Neurosurgery, Pain Management, and Physiatry and develop improvement practices.

The Clinical Nurse Supervisor of Neuroscience and Neurology will help supervise and coordinate the team and assist with the unit’s financial accountability, quality compliance, and improvements in workflow efficiency. This position assists in aligning the Neuroscience unit with the organization’s goals.
Responsibilities of the Clinical Nurse Supervisor-Neuroscience/Neurology:
Oversee 35+ clinical staff and daily operations of the Neuroscience Program, including Neurology, Neurosurgery, Pain Management, and Physiatry
Manage and assist as needed in 90+ daily patient cases involving Parkinson’s Disease, Stroke, Chronic Pain, Brain Tumors, and Spinal Cord/Disc problems
Partner with the Front-Desk Supervisor and the Practice Management team to implement training, coaching, and mentoring
Monitor work schedules, support quality initiatives, and improve workflows to improve nurse retention
Report to Nursing Director of Neuroscience with evaluation and improvements on the unit’s care to ensure end to end coverage in the program
Assist with the suite’s financial accountability, quality compliance, and improvements in workflow efficiency
Collect and assess data related to patient health status to develop, execute and evaluate patient care plans
Establish goals and strategies for care coordination needs with the patient, family, and other care providers to improve quality outcomes and patient satisfaction
Act as lead clinician for outpatient services involving an integrated diagnosis, treatment, and recovery process, including comprehensive rehabilitation services such as physical, occupational, and speech therapy
Requirements for the Clinical Nurse Supervisor-Neuroscience/Neurology:
BSN Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
Current RN Nursing license in the state of Massachusetts
3+ years of nursing experience in neuroscience, neurology, neurosurgery, or related field
CPR and BLS
CNRN, SCRN, or related certifications preferred
1+ years of nursing supervisory experience
CNS/CNL certification is a plus
Experience working with Physician Practices preferred
