Responsibilities for the RN Registered Nurse Labor Delivery/Postpartum
- Collaborate alongside Labor and Delivery nursing team and physicians
- Follow safety and compliance guidelines
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Monitor patient progress
- Work to uphold and achieve hospital goals and processes
- Analyze and create process improvements as necessary
- Encourage compassionate mother-baby care given and highest level of patient experience provided
- Communicate respectfully with patients and families
- Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing required
- BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required
- Current New Jersey Nursing License
- 2+ years L&D/ Maternity nursing experience preferred
- Nationally certified in specialty area preferred
- NRP Certification within 6 months of hire
