Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse, Emergency Department ER:

• Treat emergency room patients with evidence-based care techniques
• Carefully assess and monitor patients
• Take vitals, administer medication, take blood, dress wounds
• Treat injuries, allergic reactions and trauma
• Collaborate with ER staff nurses
• Ability to quickly assess a situation and react
• Communicate kindly and compassionately with patients and families

Requirements for the Registered Nurse, Emergency Department ER:

• Current Connecticut Nursing License
• Previous Emergency nursing experience preferred
