This hospital has almost 20 operating rooms as well as inpatient and outpatient recovery rooms, and is heavy in orthopedic, general, and vascular surgery.

Responsibilities for the Surgical Technologist CST:

• Assist with technical responsibilities in operative procedures
• Deliver top-notch care by assuring appropriate instruments and supplies are present and in proper condition
• Respond promptly to each stage of the surgical procedure and anticipate the needs of the surgeon
• Maintain a high level of concentration for extended periods of time
• Follow all infection control policies and procedures
• Perform other duties to support the operative team

 
Requirements for the Surgical Technologist CST:

• Certification in Surgical Technology required within one year of hire
• High School Diploma required
• 1+ years experience as a Surgical Technician preferred
• Availability for on-call arrival within 30 minutes
