Prestigious Hospital System Seeks a Decisive Clinical Laboratory Supervisor

This Magnet-designated hospital system is seeking a Supervisor to lead their Chemistry/Immunology Clinical Laboratory team and oversee daily operations. This Lab Supervisor will need to bring strong attention to detail and decision making abilities.  An ideal candidate has strong leadership experience and clinical background.

Responsibilities for the Clinical Laboratory Supervisor

• Oversee collection and processing in lab
• Manage clinical laboratory technologist staff
• Ensure safety and compliance throughout laboratory
• Accurately maintain records and data
• Analyze quality control data, make judgments concerning results and take appropriate action to maintain accuracy and precision
• Respond thoroughly to inquiries regarding test results, methodology, test specificity and sensitivity
• Create departmental goals and objectives and oversee progress
• Review all instrument indicators and temperature monitors
• Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of all patient information

• Master’s Degree in Clinical Chemistry preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Technology or related Science
• ASCP or NCA Certification preferred
• 6+ years of relevant clinical experience
• Must be licensed in New York
• Availability for rotating weekends and holidays
