• Demonstrates advanced knowledge, experience, and responsibility in the field of sterile processing
• Ensure that all instrumentation used by medical personnel in the hospital are clean and sterile
• Demonstrates understanding of basic principles of all types of sterilization methods
• Reviews documentations, sterilization test results, and equipment for accuracy and report any issues
• Maintain accurate sterilization records and documentation
• Educate and support hospital staff on proper sterilization methods

Requirements for the Lead Sterile Processing Technician CBSPD:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) required
• 3-5 years of sterile processing or operating room experience preferred
• Leadership experience preferred
