An ideal Psychiatric, Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will have experience prescribing medication and working with adult population.

Responsibilities of the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner PMHNP-BC

• Practice evidence-based psychiatric care for mental health patients
• Create individualized patient treatment plans
• Collaborate well with physicians, psychiatrists and other behavioral health staff
• Order testing, procedures and referrals as appropriate
• Communicate with and work with patients’ families
• Prescribe medications as necessary
• Conduct psychiatric and medical evaluations

Requirements for the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner PMHNP-BC

• Must be licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse APRN, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist and have a Certificate to Prescribe in the State of Massachusetts
• MA RN License
• Experience in psychiatry or mental health
• 3+ years clinical nursing experience
• Behavioral health experience
