Responsibilities of the Registered Respiratory Therapist, RRT:

• Perform respiratory therapy treatment
• Diagnose respiratory and lung issues, assess lung capacity
• Knowledge of cardiopulmonary physiology
• Ability to efficiently use ventilators on patients of all ages, including pediatric and neonatal
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop care plans
• Monitor patient vitals and progress
• Administer inhalents
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Ensure safe and sterile environment

Requirements for the Registered Respiratory Therapist, RRT:

• Respiratory Therapist License
• Current RT license in the state of Maine
• Hold Registration with the National Board for Respiratory Care
• Must be experienced with use of ventilators
• 2+ years clinical experience preferred
