A Master’s Degree is preferred for this Nurse Educator role, but this hospital will consider candidates with a fantastic critical care ICU and educator background as well.
Responsibilities for the RN Nurse Educator Critical Care ICU MICU SICU:
- Orient new Critical Care Unit CCU, Medical Intensive Care Unit MICU, Surgical Intensive Care Unit SICU Nurses
- Develop and implement nursing education programs, nursing protocols, policies and procedures
- Construct nursing educations programs directed toward quality improvement QI efforts to sustain high levels of clinical competence, cost effective patient care, and award-winning health care
- Evaluate and analyze processes, procedures, and educational programs
- Communicate well with nursing team and leadership
- Stay abreast to the latest educational techniques and evidence based practices and research
Requirements for the RN Nurse Educator Critical Care ICU MICU SICU :
- BSN Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing
- Masters degree preferred, MSN in Education a plus
- Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) preferred
- 3+ years nursing experience in critical care unit
- 1+ years experience in nurse educator role preferred
- Experience with EMR
