The Anatomical Pathology Lab needs a Laboratory Manager with strong attention to detail and decision-making abilities. This Manager is passionate about producing high-quality test results in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Anatomic Pathology service lines associated with cytology, histology, and related procedures and processes
- Manage Pathology Laboratory Technologist staff and assign necessary workflow to Technicians
- Hire, onboard, and mentor Technologists; Coordinate training and educational programs for lab employees
- Develop goals, objectives, and strategic plans for the lab to improve test performance quality, cost-effectiveness, and product standardization
- Act as a resource for all laboratory-related issues and between leaders and laboratory employees across the medical center
- BA/BS in Clinical/Laboratory/Biological Science, Chemistry, Pathology, or related field
- ASCP licensed Histologic Technician (HT), Pathologist's Assistant (PA), or Cytotechnologist (CT)
- Strong background in a Pathology Laboratory
- Laboratory supervisory/leadership experience
