Labor & Delivery Nurse Leader.
As the
Labor Delivery Assistant RN Manager, you will assist the nurse manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of a bustling labor and delivery unit. You will work closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care to expectant mothers and their newborns. This is a fast-paced, high-energy environment where every day brings new challenges and rewards.
Responsibilities
- Assist the nurse manager in supervising and mentoring a team of dedicated labor and delivery nurses, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Utilize your in-depth knowledge of labor and delivery procedures, protocols, and best practices to guide and educate the nursing staff, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
- Deliver outstanding care to expectant mothers and their newborns, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the labor and delivery process.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with physicians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
- Assist in the efficient allocation of staff, equipment, and supplies to optimize patient care and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing BSN, MSN preferred
- Valid CA RN license
- Strong knowledge of labor and delivery procedures, obstetric emergencies, and newborn care
- Demonstrated nurse leadership responsibilities as Charge Nurse, Supervisor, Coordinator or Assistant Nurse Manager
