As a vital member of the cardiovascular surgical team, The CVOR Physician Assistant will have the unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of patients suffering from cardiovascular diseases. Responsibilities
Assist in performing a wide range of cardiovascular surgical procedures, including open-heart surgeries, heart transplants, bypass surgeries, valve replacements, and more.
Collaborate closely with the surgical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses, to deliver seamless and comprehensive patient care.
Conduct pre-operative evaluations and assessments, ensuring that patients are optimally prepared for surgery, and develop individualized treatment plans.
Assist with patient monitoring during surgeries, meticulously maintaining accurate records of vital signs, fluid balances, and anesthesia administration.
Perform post-operative care, monitoring patients in the intensive care unit, and providing timely interventions and treatments as necessary.
Participate in research activities, staying abreast of the latest advancements in cardiovascular surgery, and contributing to the development of innovative treatment protocols.
Requirements
Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Licensed in state of California as Physician Assistant
CVOR experience as a Physician Assistant
