Position: Lab Cytotechnologist, CT(ASCP)

Salary: $34/hr - $45/hr + SIGN-ON BONUS 

The ARRA Group, a boutique healthcare recruitment firm, has partnered with our hospital client to hire a team-oriented Cytotechnologist CT(ASCP) to assist in collecting, evaluating, interpreting, and reporting of gynecological specimens.

The Cytotechnologist will work closely with a skilled team of Cytotechs, Processors and report to the Director of Laboratory Services.  The cohesive Lab Team is passionate about ensuring the cytopreparatory techniques, aspirations, and specimen evaluations are performed at the highest level of quality.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, interpret, and report negative, abnormal, gynecological, non-gynecological; prepare diagnostic materials according to the cytopreparatory techniques of the lab
• Assist care teams with Cytology procedures such as bedside fine needle aspiration; Monitor patient comfort and status throughout the procedure
• Keep accurate clinical and administrative records involving techniques, policies, and diagnoses
• Assist the Laboratory Supervisor with quality assurance activities and continuous improvement activities
• Provide technical advice to physicians and nurses; refer cases involving precancerous, malignant, infectious, or related conditions as needed

• Bachelor's Degree in Science 
• Certification: CT(ASCP) required
• Experience screening gynecological and non-gynecological specimens and fine needle aspirations
