Responsibilities
- Act as a resource for the Behavioral Health team, mentoring and supporting therapists and counselors as needed; lead by example or evaluation and pro-actively engage through education and other resources.
- Assist with quality improvement projects and program development within the department.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' mental health status, psychosocial functioning, and treatment needs.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual, group, and family therapy, to address a range of psychiatric disorders and co-occurring conditions.
- Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, and other clinical staff to coordinate care and promote a multidisciplinary approach to treatment.
Requirements
- LCSW, LICSW, LMFT, LPC, or LADC in the state of Connecticut
- Masters in Social Work Degree Required
- Experience working within adult psychiatry
- Familiarity with supporting and supervising clinicians is a plus!
