Renowned Transplant Program Seeking RN Nurse Manager Liver Transplant Program
Join a collaborative team where you can truly make an impact as RN Nurse Manager Liver Transplant. We are working with a top hospital in the Washington D.C. area to find a strong nurse leader who can oversee nurse coordinator teams over a variety of specialties.

Responsibilities of the RN Nurse Manager Liver Transplant Program:

• Manage about 10 FTEs including Adult and Pediatric Liver Coordinators, Small Bowel Coordinators

• Manage patients that already have an identified living donor
• Follow proper processes and procedures in inpatient and outpatient clinical settings
• Analyze current processes and procedures and implement quality improvement
• Observe, record, and report patient’s condition and reaction to drugs and treatments
• Communicate with the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) to maintain an accurate and current patient waiting list
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and procedures
• Delegate responsibilities to transplant team
• Hire, train and mentor RN nursing staff
• Ensure proper collection of samples and tests
• Maintain and review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information
• Assume other duties and responsibilities were needed to the position and area

Requirements of the RN Nurse Manager Liver Transplant Program:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; B.S.N. Preferred
• CPR Certification
• Preferred Clinical Transplant Coordinator certification; or eligibility to achieve
• 2+ years of professional nursing experience
• 1+ years of previous transplant, outpatient, or dialysis experience desirable
