Renowned Transplant Program Seeking RN Nurse Manager Liver Transplant Program Join a collaborative team where you can truly make an impact as RN Nurse Manager Liver Transplant. We are working with a top hospital in the Washington D.C. area to find a strong nurse leader who can oversee nurse coordinator teams over a variety of specialties.
Responsibilities of the RN Nurse Manager Liver Transplant Program:
Manage about 10 FTEs including Adult and Pediatric Liver Coordinators, Small Bowel Coordinators
Manage patients that already have an identified living donor
Follow proper processes and procedures in inpatient and outpatient clinical settings
Analyze current processes and procedures and implement quality improvement
Observe, record, and report patient’s condition and reaction to drugs and treatments
Communicate with the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) to maintain an accurate and current patient waiting list
Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and procedures
Delegate responsibilities to transplant team
Hire, train and mentor RN nursing staff
Ensure proper collection of samples and tests
Maintain and review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information
Assume other duties and responsibilities were needed to the position and area
Requirements of the RN Nurse Manager Liver Transplant Program:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; B.S.N. Preferred
CPR Certification
Preferred Clinical Transplant Coordinator certification; or eligibility to achieve
2+ years of professional nursing experience
1+ years of previous transplant, outpatient, or dialysis experience desirable
