As a Cardiac ICU, CVICU Nurse Practitioner
, you will be critical in providing exceptional care to patients in our state-of-the-art Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Your expertise in cardiac care, heart failure, and advanced nursing will be crucial in ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Provide comprehensive and evidence-based care to critically ill patients in the Cardiac ICU, Cardiovascular ICU, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, incorporating the latest advancements in cardiac care.
- Administer medications, perform invasive procedures, and interpret diagnostic tests as required.
- Educate patients and their families about the nature of their condition, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
- Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, providing guidance and support in the delivery of high-quality cardiac care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Stay abreast of advancements in cardiac care through ongoing professional development, attending conferences, and participating in relevant training opportunities.
- Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
- Valid and active California State Registered Nurse (RN) license and Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification.
- Clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in ICU, CVICU, Cardiac ICU.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of critical care principles and practices, with a focus on heart failure and cardiac care.
