Responsibilities of the Nurse Coordinator, Quality Improvement:
- Report and partner with the Director of Hospital Wide Quality to maintain high quality and safety
- Assist in reporting of hospital's quality and safety data promptly to state and national agencies as well as external agencies
- Perform Safety Event Response process steps, including incident review, safety event investigations, reporting, and follow-up monitoring
- Assist in creating Nursing Quality Indicators that can be analyzed and reported and needed
- Complete analytics and reporting of core measures for data extractions, sepsis review, and quality initiatives
- Evaluate the success of developed quality and safety policy training programs
- Promote the hospital's safety culture, high-reliability concepts, and performance excellence within the community
- Assist in the creation and evaluation of current expenses, finances, and accounting to ensure a cost-effective and quality service line
Requirements of the Nurse Coordinator, Quality Improvement:
- Bachelor's Degree in Science of Nursing BSN required; MSN preferred
- Current RN license in the state of New York
- 2+ years of acute care nursing experience, preferably in patient safety, quality, or related field
- 1+ years of leadership experience in patient safety, quality improvement, or risk prevention preferred
- CNL, CNML, CEN, CENP, or related certification preferred
- CPPS and CPHQ certification is a plus
- Proven experience promoting a safety culture, high-reliability concepts, and performance excellence
