This Stepdown unit sees post-surgical patients recovering from transplant surgery, bariatric surgery, and liver and pancreas surgeries. The Stepdown nursing team is seeking an inquisitive nurse looking to build their skills and become a future leader as their next Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) alongside a strong, caring, and collaborative team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the oversight of this specialty transplant, post-surgical stepdown unit on its dedicated floor
- Support the nursing team through mentorship, guidance, and recognition
- Work alongside the unit Nurse Manager and participate in departmental leadership activities, like new hire orientation, training, and evaluations
- Work as the primary night-shift resource for improving quality standards and patient outcomes; help educate the staff and patients as needed on post-surgery care plans
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing ADN required BSN preferred
- Current RN License in Ohio
- Transplant, Telemetry, medical-Surgical, Progressive Care, Stepdown, or related nursing experience
- RN leadership/management/charge nurse experience
