Responsibilities for the RN Nurse Manager Emergency Department ED:
- Oversee 50 FTEs and 18 bays throughout the ED
- Hire and orient nursing staff
- Support triage when necessary
- Collaborate with physicians and other nurses
- Uphold quality standards and implement new policies/procedures
- Communicate respectfully and effectively with patients and families
- Treat patients with compassion and provide patient-centered care
- Maintain safety and compliance throughout the emergency department
- Work toward hospital strategic initiatives
- Mentor and train nursing staff
- Promote a positive work environment among the team
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred or strong ER experience
- Licensed Registered Nurse RN in the state of NY
- 5+ years of experience in the emergency room preferred
- 5+ years of nurse leadership experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification
- Assistant Nurse Management or Nurse Management Experience
