This esteemed hospital unit is searching for a Clinical Nurse Manager, Med-Surg, to guide a team of committed nurses and healthcare experts in delivering exceptional care to Adult and Pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the nursing team and administer resources, encompassing staffing, training, scheduling, and performance management
- Conduct assessments and collaborate with other unit managers to establish team-building initiatives that foster nurse retention
- Collaborate with the Nurse Director to assess, suggest, and execute operational changes for the Pediatric and Adult Med-Surg departments
- Monitor pediatric and adult patient care plans; adjust and train the team as needed to ensure quality and safety standards are met or exceeded
- Serve as an information resource and advocate for patients, families, and the nursing team in the med-surg unit
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN; MSN preferred
- Current New York State RN license
- Nursing experience in medical-surgical, pediatrics, critical care nursing, inpatient acute care nursing, or related field
- RN leadership/management/charge nurse experience
