The telemetry staff at this medical center is seeking a Nurse Manager who can act as a researcher and resource for team development and quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee staff and patient services workflow to determine inefficiencies and build a strategy to improve patient experiences and unit goals
- Manage and participate in all departmental staffing decisions, including interviewing, hiring, orientation, training, and evaluation
- Perform evidence-based research and develop training programs for the tele/stepdown nursing team
- Mentor and lead by example to ensure proper patient care is consistently delivered through patient-focused nursing practices
- Collaborate with patient care teams within the tele/stepdown unit to discuss treatment options to achieve a non-critical state of health in patients
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN; MSN preferred
- Current New York State RN license
- 2+ years of telemetry, stepdown, progressive care nursing experience
- 1+ years RN leadership/management/charge nurse experience
