Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing care of patients presenting with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions, injuries, and emergencies.
- Prioritize patients based on the urgency of their medical needs, ensuring that those in critical condition receive immediate attention.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians, following established protocols and guidelines. Provide interventions such as IV therapy, wound care, and CPR when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Effectively communicate with patients, their families, and the healthcare team, ensuring that information is conveyed clearly, compassionately, and in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing, BSN
- Registered Nurse in State of New York
- 1 year RN experience in emergency medicine, trauma center
