The ARRA Group, a boutique healthcare recruitment firm, has partnered with our Hospital Client to hire a Surgical Services Senior Manager, Business Operations. This Press Ganey Pinnacle of Excellence hospital is seeking a Surgical Services Operations Nurse Manager who will partner with the RN Director of Surgical Services and CNO to develop projects focused on the surgical service's operational efficiencies.
The Perioperative Business Assistant Director will improve key metrics such as cancellations, supply chain, block utilization, scheduling, and anesthesia for quality evaluation and developing staff care abilities.
Responsibilities for the Surgical Services, Perioperative Assistant Director, RN:
Oversee operations, capital budget, quality metrics, and KPIs for the perioperative services department. Directly supervise scheduling office, operating room coordinator and charge specialist.
Report to the Nurse Director of Surgical Services and work closely with hospital leadership to evaluate the current perioperative service line and implement quality improvement initiatives
Lead projects focused on turnaround times, scheduling, block utilization, increasing positive patient outcomes, and improving quality, safety, and patient satisfaction while following budgetary guidelines
Identify financial and quality metrics for project execution, project management, documentation, and status reporting. Manage project scope while identifying potential obstacles and barriers and creating escalation/contingency plans
Collect, analyze, and report data concerning staff performance, patient care satisfaction, and budgetary restrictions. Analyze and report productivity and labor analysis to the Director of Surgical Services
Requirements for the Surgical Services, Perioperative Assistant Director, RN:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management, or related field
MSN, MBA, or MHA Master's Degree preferred
3+ years experience in clinical nursing or operations management within a surgical services environment
Experience in operational oversight, process improvement, key quality metrics, and department budgets
