The ARRA Group, a boutique healthcare recruitment firm, has partnered with our award-winning hospital client to hire an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with expertise in Thoracic Surgery to provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing thoracic surgical procedures.

The ideal Thoracic Nurse Practitioner will possess excellent clinical skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for improving patient outcomes. In this role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and manage patient care in pre-operative and post-operative settings.

  • Collaborate with thoracic surgeons to provide comprehensive patient care throughout the perioperative period, including pre-operative assessments, surgical procedures, and post-operative management.
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations to develop individualized care plans, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic test interpretation.
  • Educate patients and their families on surgical procedures, treatment options, and post-operative care to ensure a smooth transition and optimal recovery.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, identifying potential complications or deviations from the expected recovery trajectory, and intervene accordingly.
  • Master's degree in Nursing specializing in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
  • Valid and active California State Registered Nurse (RN) license and Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification.
  • Clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in thoracic surgery or a related surgical specialty.
  • Strong knowledge of thoracic surgery principles, procedures, and best practices.
