This top-ranked, academic hospital seeks a Nurse Manager for the behavioral health unit who can inspire his or her team while also working towards the hospital’s strategic initiatives and goals. This Nurse Manager will have the opportunity to shape the department and have the support of an Assistant Nurse Manager.
 
Responsibilities for the RN Nurse Manager Behavioral Health, Psychiatry:

• Assist with oversight of mental health and behavioral health services and nursing staff
• Promote compassionate and evidence-based care for every patient
• Educate, train and mentor psychiatry nursing staff
• Evaluate and assess nursing staff
• Deliver expert psychiatric nursing care
• Maintain safety and compliance throughout behavioral health department
• Act as a resource person and subject matter expert to staff and patients
• Ensure regulatory compliance and implement new goals and policies

• BSN required, MSN or Masters in related healthcare field preferred
• 3+ years Behavioral Health experience required
• 1+ years leadership experience required
• Current New York RN license
• Proven progressive, transformational leadership experience
• Results-oriented, quality focused leader
