Responsibilities of the Senior Sterile Processing SPD Technician
- Follow proper sanitization and safety guidelines
- Clean and sterilize medical equipment properly and efficiently
- Examine, test and monitor equipment to ensure proper function
- Demonstrates understanding of all types of sterilization methods
- Reviews documentations, sterilization test results, and equipment for accuracy and report any issues
- Maintains accurate sterilization records and documentation
- Educates and supports hospital staff on proper sterilization methods
Requirements for the Senior Sterile Processing SPD Technician
- High school diploma or GED required
- Sterile Processing Certification required
- 3-5 years of sterile processing or operating room experience preferred
- Leadership experience preferred
