The ARRA Group is proud to announce national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise Council Ohio River Valley, a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

“We are thrilled to have achieved this important designation by WBENC as a woman-owned company. Supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion in healthcare is central to the ARRA Group and our values,” says ARRA Group CEO and founder Abby Cravotta.

Getting certified as a woman-owned business is important in setting ARRA apart as a boutique healthcare recruitment firm. The ARRA Group is proud to be founded and owned by a woman and is excited for its clients, candidates, and partners to benefit from this significant certification.

What is WBENC Certification?

WBENC Certification is the gold standard for women-owned business certification in the United States.

The WBENC certification standard is a meticulous process, including an in-depth review of the business and a site inspection. The certification process is designed to confirm that the business is at least 51% owned, operated, and controlled by a woman or women and that the company has an appropriate structure and strategic business planning and implementation.

Founded in 1997, WBENC is the nation’s leader in women’s business development and the leading third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women, with more than 18,000 certified Women’s Business Enterprises,14 national Regional Partner Organizations, and more than 500 Corporate Members, most of which are Fortune 500.

“We are excited to work with healthcare organizations seeking to partner with diverse and women-owned businesses and collaborate with other WBENC organizations,” Cravotta shares.

What are the benefits of WBENC?

Why should businesses be excited to work with a WBENC-certified company like the ARRA Group?

1. Tax Benefits

First, working with a WBENC-certified business can provide an organization with tax benefits, and tax liabilities could be reduced for projects funded with federal or state grants or loans when the supplier is a women-owned business.

2. Profitable Growth

Research conducted by the Hackett Group shows that working with a WBENC-certified business can increase profitability with as much as 130% return on investment, providing distinct competitive advantages.

3. Commitment to Diversity

By integrating more woman-owned businesses into their supplier network, organizations can demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and empowering women. “Diversity promotes innovation, opens new channels of revenue, and creates partnerships that provide opportunities that fuel the economy,” according to the Small Business Administration.

4. Shared Resources and Networking

WBENC offers valuable resources and hosts informative events such as training, professional development, and networking with other woman-owned businesses. The team at ARRA is excited to connect with other women-owned businesses and share this knowledge and resources with their business partners. “We are excited to bring all the benefits of being a woman-owned business to our clients. You’ll find more diverse thinking and new perspectives,” Cravotta finishes.
