Responsibilities of the RN Nurse Educator Operating Room
- Create and implement nursing education in relation to operating room
- Bring process improvements to the department
- Promote evidence-based nursing
- Act as a clinical leader
- Clearly communicate and explain techniques, methods and best practices
- Engage operating room staff and promote evidence-based nursing
- Collaborate well with nurse leadership and physicians
- Stay abreast of the latest educational techniques and best practices
- Work toward hospital’s strategic initiatives and goals
Requirements for the RN Nurse Educator Operating Room
- MSN Master’s Degree Required
- Licensed Nurse in New York
- 2+ years operating room nursing experience
- Experience in OR Nursing Education
- CNOR Certification
- ANCC Certification required within 6 months
